UPDATE REGARDING PROPERTY TAX APPEAL FILING AND HEARING DEADLINES:
On May 28, 2020, Governor Murphy signed Bill A-4157 into law regarding 2020 property tax appeals.The Bill, codified as P.L. 2020, c35, established July 1, 2020 as the deadline to file property tax appeals for the 2020 tax year.The Bill also reset the deadline for all hearings before County Tax Boards, carrying the statutory deadline from June 30, 2020 to September 30, 2020.These deadline changes only apply to 2020 property tax appeals and do not apply to appeals filed in counties participating in the county-wide assessment program and/or property tax demonstration program (including, Monmouth and Gloucester counties).
