Steve Nehmad recently returned home to his alma mater, Atlantic Cape Community College, to give back to the community. For the past several years, Steve and his wife Dianne - who met as students at ACCC - have awarded scholarships to existing students based upon financial need. Nehmad currently services on ACCC's Foundation Board.
"One of the main reasons why community college students don't finish their eduction is a lack of financial resources," said Nehmad. "ACCC gave me a head start and it's a fulfilling experience to be able to help current students finish their education to have the same head start."
Nehmad previously received the President's Distinguished Foundation Board Member Award, which recognizes a current or past member of the board who has demonstrated leadership, advocacy and support on behalf of the college and its students.
